Carol
Reed
Carol
Reed's career began in the late 1970s as she ascended from "enthusiastic
volunteer" to the paid position of political director for
then-U.S. Senator John Tower.
The rest is history. No ... more than history, legend.
For more than twenty years, the award-winning Carol Reed Associates
specialized in corporate communications, campaign consulting,
issues and crisis management, event production and community initiatives.
Today, as The Reeds PRC, the firm continues to build on two decades
of successes.
Dallas Observer's "Best of Dallas" issue in
2004 tipped its hat to The Reeds as the premier political consulting
firm in North Texas. "Over the last 20 years," the newspaper
reported, "the firm has worked for virtually every Republican
office holder in the state, as well as Presidents Reagan and Bush."
Carol's legendary victories include:
- More
than $200 million dollars raised for civic projects and political
campaigns.
- In
1995, managing the history-making campaign that elected Ron
Kirk as the first African-American mayor in Dallas history.
-
Successfully orchestrating the 2007 campaign of current Dallas
Mayor Tom Leppert.
- Over
considerable opposition, managing not one, but two, victorious
Trinity River corridor campaigns to transform Dallas' only riverfront.
-
Winning voter support in 1998 for public financing to build
the American Airlines Center.
- In
2004, securing overwhelming voter approval for the new Dallas
Cowboys football stadium in Arlington, Texas.
- A
100% success rate for all bond election campaigns she has taken
on, including those for the City of Dallas, Dallas Independent
School District, Dallas Area Rapid Transit, and Dallas County
Community College District.
Carol
is also the first woman to chair the Dallas Convention and Visitors
Bureau, the Rotary Club of Dallas, and the Dallas Real Estate
Council’s Fight Night.
